Pure Open-Back Design for Authentic Sound

The fully open-back design of the ATH-R70xa allows unrestricted airflow, ensuring that each diaphragm movement translates directly into sound without relying on acoustic cavities or resonance. This approach minimizes distortion and delivers an accurate, natural sound with realistic sound staging.

Extended Frequency Range for Detailed Reproduction

Engineered for critical listening, the ATH-R70xa headphones feature an extended frequency range that transparently reproduces every detail of a mix. The absence of internal resonance allows for a quick transient response, providing the clarity and separation needed to handle complex contemporary mixes.

Featherlight Design for Prolonged Comfort

Weighing just 199 grams without the cable, these headphones are exceptionally lightweight. The streamlined construction and new headband design ensure that the ATH-R70xa virtually disappears during use, making them perfect for long working sessions.

Handcrafted Precision from Japan

Each ATH-R70xa unit is meticulously assembled at Audio-Technica’s Machida facility in Japan. Components are built in-house and rigorously tested before leaving the factory, ensuring a high standard of quality and performance.
